How are things?!
Hey gang! It’s me - Mike Tener, Creative Director of Bad Bug.
Thought I’d just give you guys an overall update on how Bad Bug is doing and what our plan is for the back half of the year.
I want to begin by saying how grateful I and the rest of the gang are for your support. We’ve been able to leap forward and produce a lot of our passion projects because of you and we don’t want to ever take that for granted.

We’ve grown immensely in terms of production and sales. With that comes some growing pains and one of the biggest ones I personally learned this year, so far, was to delegate and find staff, especially for fulfilling and shipping. Now that we have a team dedicated to that, I can devote more of attention to creative matters which was always the intent.
Before I jump into some small showcases of upcoming titles. I did want to give an overall update on where we are with fulfillment of Kickstarter campaigns that need to be fulfilled. The great news is that these books are all completed and PDF’s have been sent out to all backers.
AstroWitch #1 - print order placed. Roughly 3-4 weeks before shipping begins.
Death Nell #2 - print order will be placed on Monday.
Don’t Talk to the Dead #1 - book is complete. Print order should be placed soon. Follow Ruben Romero and Casey Bowker on social media (FB, IG, and Twitter) for frequent updates.
HyperGeist #2 - books are in. Waiting for stretch goal items. Should begin shipping Wednesday 6/28.
Roseblood Manor #2 - books are in. Waiting for stretch goal items. Should begin shipping Wednesday 6/28.
Roseblood Manor #3 - print order placed. Roughly 3-4 weeks before shipping begins.
Vanya: The Lost Warrior #5 - print order placed. Roughly 3-4 weeks before shipping begins.
Here’s where we are at with current production titles.

Black Jackets #6 - slated to begin development in September.
Black Jackets Trade (#1-5) - will launch Kickstarter in September.
Bobby Jo and the Appalachian Alien Apocalypse #2 - 50% done and on Kickstarter with 4 days left.
Cereal Killer #1 - script is complete. We just broke ground.
Cupid #1 - 50% complete. Plan on running Kickstarter in August.
Dead End Moon #3 - 35% complete. Art on this series moves slow, so expect a fall release.
Death Nell #3 - script is complete. Art begins soon.
Discordia #3 and Apocrypha #2 - complete and ready to launch on Kickstarter in July.
Don’t Talk to the Dead #2 - script is final draft. Art to begin soon.
Equinox #1 - Artwork has begun.
His Name is Wrath #4 - script is complete. Art is beginning now.
HyperGeist #3 - 25% complete. Kickstarter will launch in July.
Midnight Highway #4 - Production is 45% complete. This is a big, double issue. Kickstarter is currently running. Here is the link
Monster Girl Beach Party #1 - 70% complete. Kickstarter will launch in July.
Ragnarawk #1 Remix - 90% complete. Just needs lettered. #2 script is being developed.
Roseblood Manor #4 - script is in progress. Kickstarter will launch in June.
Welcome to Monster World #1 - complete. Kickstarter will launch in July for a very quick turnaround and delivery to backers.
Vanya: The Lost Warrior #6 - script is in progress. Kickstarter will launch at the end of July.
So…that’s a lot. And there’s actually a few more titles that are in their early stages right now and it’s probably not worth mentioning them just yet. I can assure you that our mature line is growing as well as our creator-owned non-erotic titles.
As I mentioned earlier, there are four new titles that I’d like to showcase starting with…
CEREAL KILLER
Brendan Runch, a cereal-hating detective, is hot on the trail of a gruesome killer who’s been brutally slaughtering beloved cereal mascots left and right. With each grisly murder, the plot thickens. Will Brendan be able to crack the case before another beloved character meets an untimely end? Hint: yes, of course, but the thrill is in the hunt with detective stories like these so enjoy the wild, hilarious, and violent ride.
From the creative team of Scott Wilke (Periwinkle, Dead End Moon) and Kit Wallis (Hellicious, Good Boy)
CUPID
Expanding the universe of holiday heroes after Periwinkle, the dynamic duo of Scott Wilke and Arturo Mesa return with the story of Cupid who’s been out of work since the world has been overrun with hate and now has to find a new path to make ends meet. The Boogeyman and Tooth Fairy steal the show in my opinion.
EQUINOX
From HyperGeist artist, Cari Salviejo, in partnership with writers Allen Dunford (Pocus Hocus, Grandma Chainsaw) and Bill Stoddard (Death Nell, The Nomad) comes our first western manga title. Follow Rin, a girl who can shift between two worlds in the blink of an eye, as she tries to maintain balance between the natural world and its supernatural counterpart. Violence, hilarity, and absurdity ensue.
MONSTER GIRL BEACH PARTY
From Jason Pell (Bear Skin, Flickering Lights) comes our first magazine-sized release that’s 40 pages of ads, interviews with famous monsters, and pinups galore of beautiful, otherworldly beings. A fun call back to all those pulpy mags of yesteryear. Lots of beautiful variant covers on this project. More to share very soon.
