How's it going?!
Hey, gang! Mike Tener, Creative Director of Bad Bug, is here with a general update on Bad Bug Media.
We enjoyed seeing so many of you at Baltimore Comic Con! It was a successful show for us so we plan to return next year. Shout out to Fletcher and Derek: they’ve been supporting comics on Kickstarter for a while now - one was up to 700 KS projects backed, I think. Whew!
Look at their AWESOME shirts featuring the characters from their first comic that’s coming out soon.
We’ve been really fortunate this year. You all have invested in us even when we make mistakes and have shown great patience when some projects are delayed.
The process of learning how to run a business, lead multiple projects simultaneously, and coordinate fulfillment for those projects was a new challenge. All of us at Bad Bug did this in between our full-time jobs. This is a fun gig but it’s also exhausting at times.
I want to thank you all for being so understanding and forgiving. We now have a team (5 people) who will be knocking out campaign fulfillment on the weekends so rewards deliver faster and, in turn, campaigns can launch quicker…end result? More Bad Bug, baby!

Don’t Talk to the Dead 1 - this one is being fulfilled by Comix Wellspring through Casey and Ruben. You should be expecting these books to ship out soon!
Discordia 3 - building the PDF’s this weekend and will be delivered to you all shortly.
Midnight Highway 4 - only 4 pages need to be colored and then it moves to lettering. Should be getting out to you all in time for October, ahead of schedule.
Death Nell 2 - Shipping this weekend!
Bobby Jo 2 - Starts shipping this weekend! Had to reorder most books due to print issues so this has pushed us back a bit.
HyperGeist 2 - fulfilling 11x17 prints and some international orders, then we’re 100%.
Vanya 5 - fulfilling 11x17 prints and some international orders, then we’re 100%.
Astrowitch 1 - fulfilling 11x17 prints and some international orders, then we’re 100%.
Flickering Lights 2 and Monster Girl Beach Party - these are being fulfilled by Jason Pell directly. FL2 is 50% done according to Jason’s last communication with me (which was this past week). He’s placing the print order for MGBP as we speak.
