Hello, my friends! It’s Mike Tener (CEO/Creative Director) of Bad Bud Media.
First, thank you again for taking a survey conducted in January, asking for feedback on how we can improve, and letting us know what we’re doing well. As confident as we may be as a creative group, we still need to tap into the consciousness of the people who support us to ensure we don’t go off the rails and consistently deliver to exceed expectations.
We learned a lot from that survey and found it highly valuable for our development.
We’ve been focusing our fundamentals this year, which is improving the quality of the books from an art and story perspective, as well as print quality and fulfillment execution.
I don’t believe we are where we want to be, but we’re closer.
Having said that…I wanted to share the upcoming release schedule for all the mainstream Bad Bug Media titles (non-erotic, safe for work).

Introducing our new home for all the erotic content, Bad Bug Midnight will be the imprint that features all the popular NSFW series we’ve produced so far and the several new titles we will be releasing in the future.
The logo in the top right corner of every cover will indicate if the title contains sexual content. We will have big news about our expansion in this area in the fall.
Vanya: The Lost Warrior 7 and HyperGeist 4 are currently running on Kickstarter under the new banner.
We’re happy to announce that we’ve found a new book printer. Here are the advantages we (and ultimately you) can expect with our partnership with Artist Express.
Faster Delivery Times—Print orders should only take two weeks at most before they are delivered to us, which is twice the efficiency of the previous printer.
Higher Quality and Variety of Covers—the most significant issue we faced with our previous printer was damage to corners and spines during the folding process, which affected the value for those who wanted to get their books “slabbed” and graded by companies like CGC and CBCS. Now, you can back us with confidence that you’ll likely get a book grade of 9.2 and above. Be on the lookout for new types of covers we will offer in future campaigns (like LEATHER).
Improved Quality Control—From the point of inspection all the way to shipping, Artist Express has a robust process for validating that books arrive to us in perfect condition and color correcting to ensure that the books look as close as possible to their digital equivalents.
Better service and communication will cut down on delays because we are now communicating directly with the owner, who will handle our orders.

Bobby Jo 3 - Digital rewards have been sent. The print order has been submitted. Should be shipping within 4-5 weeks.
Bombshell Atomica 1 - PDF will be sent this week. Be on the lookout. Print order will be placed soon.

Death Nell 4 - still in production. 10 /24 pages completed (we expect the artist to complete the rest in the next few weeks as their schedule opens up)
Discordia TPB - we just received the softbacks in shipment and will begin to ship. The hardbacks should arrive next week for shipping in two weeks.
Horus in Hell 2 - wrapping up production by mid-April.
Midnight Highway 4 - 90% Fulfilled - we are still awaiting a replacement order of metal and holofoil covers and 3D versions of issue 4. More surveys were completed after our fulfillment.

No More Gods 1 - fulfillment begins in two weeks.

Lastly, this is the thing I’m excited about the most. We love Kickstarter and what it’s done to help us find our audience, but we also know that Kickstarter has limitations. We believe Patreon will fill a gap in our strategy and allow us to connect directly with you. We have so much content lined up for our launch in the Summer.
Here’s the big notes:
There will be tiers for erotic and non-erotic titles.
Regardless of your choice, you will get one exclusive variant cover each month for various titles in our library. The artists we have lined up are fantastic. These will be numbered and limited to the amount of backers for that respective tier.
We will also have weekly live streams where you can meet and chat with us and the artists and models who have collaborated with us.
Lastly, we will have Patreon-exclusive launches for specific series, bypassing Kickstarter altogether.
More information will follow, but we will pour a lot of energy into this as we progress through the year.
